not equal giving, but equal sacrifice
The Journey
We are so excited to embark on the next phase of our Family Life Center and for the blessings this project will bring to our community. This journey is not just about a building; it’s about a place where lives are transformed, the community is served, families are strengthened, and young people are inspired to grow in faith and love.
Our church has a rich history of serving the community, and the completion of the second phase of our Family Life Center will enhance these efforts, enabling us to expand our reach and impact. The new classrooms on the second floor will be a hub for learning and connection, while the gym’s completion will offer a vibrant center for physical activity and fellowship where we will create a welcoming environment for everyone.
This effort is guided by the principle of ‘not equal giving, but equal sacrifice.’ We understand that each of us has different capacities to give, but together, through shared sacrifice, we can achieve something greater than ourselves. Your participation, no matter the size of the gift, is crucial in making this vision a reality. We sincerely appreciate your sacrifices, and want you to know your contribution is integral to our success. As a church family, we are united in our commitment to serve and bless our community. Your involvement will not only help complete these essential facilities, but will also be a testament to the love and dedication we all have for one another and those we serve.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Your support and involvement mean the world to us. Together, we are growing to serve.
Stewardship
The strength of any campaign is planned, systematic giving. To provide the best opportunity for the greatest participation and achievement of a maximum goal, we have chosen a three year, 156-week plan forgiving. Contributors will be asked to establish their own schedule of giving – weekly, monthly, or annually. The commitment period will last from January 2025 – Dec 2027.
Our request for planned giving has one fundamental principle: “Not equal giving, but equal sacrifice.” Each person is unique, and that includes the nature of their work, their amount of income, and the level of other financial obligations. That is why decisions concerning the amount of the commitment rests solely with the person. There will be no “public auction” fund raisers, no requests for verbal commitments at special meetings, no regular gatherings of the congregation, and no publication of committed amounts. Family units will be visited privately in their homes.
What should you give? Only you and God can make that decision. We urge you to make your gift a matter of fervent prayer, and we encourage you to give a generous, sacrificial gift.
A sacrificial gift is one that will require you to:
- Rearrange your priorities
- Actually sacrifice something or give something up
- Maybe even change your lifestyle
Regular giving is extremely important. It is an easy way to make a significant contribution over a long period. You will be amazed by the ultimate total of an amount given systematically over a three year period. Individuals who prefer to contribute securities, land, or other assets may do so. Often substantial income and capital gain tax savings occur through this type of giving.

A: No. You are encouraged to pray and ask God what He would have you to commit to Him. The purpose of the commitment card is so the church can have an indication of the amount expected, so we may make plans to finance these upgrades.
